Bike Ride and Park at the Landfill

It is amazing to me why anyone would want to go to a park with the word "landfill" in it.  We went on Saturday with the Brighams and were surprised how nice it was.  For those of you who don't live in Raleigh, I will explain a little more.  There was a landfill about 15 minutes from our house that closed around 2 years ago.  They planted grass over the trash and somehow took the smell away.  They also made several bike trails all around the area and a nice big park on one of the sides of the large grassy pile of trash.  We played at the park for awhile and then the kids' rode their bikes down one of the trails.  They had a great time.  I even got a great picture of all 4 of them looking at the camera and smiling.
